2. Which is worse, failing or never trying?

Definitely, never trying. Failure is necessary for success.

3. If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do?

We forget that life is short.

4. When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?

In some areas, yes. But mostly, I don’t share my ambitions.

5. What is the one thing you’d most like to change about the world?

Backwardedness and a community’s inability to accept change or progress.

6. If happiness was the national currency, what kind of work would make you rich?

I’d still sing.

7. Are you doing what you believe in, or are you settling for what you are doing?

I’m an accidental artiste but I believe in what I do. I only settle when they give me the wrong order for food or drinks.

8. If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?

I haven’t had the chance to travel and see the world. So I might just do that.

9. To what degree have you actually controlled the course your life has taken?

I took charge of my life only a few years ago and it’s going well. My tip: Seek for second opinion, but decide for yourself.

10. Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?
I am more worried about doing the things right. Some projects get delayed because its not done right.

It was Aziz Desa’s birthday but I didn’t sing “Selamat Ulang Tahun Sayang”. I sang “Jika Engkau Pergi” right at the end of the show after sitting down for half an hour discussing old-school Malay poetry. Got me there! I didn’t know what to say. But heck, it was fun. I was listed in the Top 100, and then in Top  70 but unfortunately I didn’t make it to the Top 50. But that’s Ok. I’m going to work on my bod and then you can audition me again! Haha. Good luck to the guys who made it. Hah. Thanks Faliq and Marina for helping out with my Cleo’s Eligible Bachelor of the Year (Malaysia) nomination.

I was going for the super-spy secret agent look consistent with (at least one or two of the songs in) my album, and the whole military-themed outfits was everywhere that night. But I felt more ‘postal service’ than ’secret service’ actually.

And of course CuteCarry.com had to just say I had it on ‘too tight’. I’ll remove the strap, it’s still a trench, yes. Thanks for the tip, Hafiz.
