On Being Too Tight for AJL

Published by Imran Ajmain under News, Places, people

I was going for the super-spy secret agent look consistent with (at least one or two of the songs in) my album, and the whole military-themed outfits was everywhere that night. But I felt more ‘postal service’ than ’secret service’ actually.

And of course CuteCarry.com had to just say I had it on ‘too tight’. I’ll remove the strap, it’s still a trench, yes. Thanks for the tip, Hafiz.

On Performing for Princesses

Published by Imran Ajmain under Gatherings, Places, Press, people

When the host Zoey asked the audience to guess who the next singer is going to be here, and that the clue was “dari Singapura“, everybody excitedly screamed for “Aliff Aziz”! So imagine their disappointment when I came out. Haha. I made up for it by singing “Radio”, and got everybody to dance along. It was a themed party so all the girls came as princesses, and some mothers too. More pictures HERE.

The last time I attended their event, I was officially a giant.

On Performing for the Shah Alam’s Dato Bandar

Published by Imran Ajmain under Places, people, shows

I performed for the Mayor of Shah Alam, who asked why didn’t I get a place to stay at Shah Alam. For Singaporeans reading this, Shah Alam, is far away from KL. As a matter of a fact, when you say you’re travelling to KL, most of you are only going to Bukit Bintang, KLCC area and that’s really KL. But once you go to Damansara, Cheras, and especially to Shah Alam, it’s got nothing to do with KL anymore.

Anyway, I told him, I’m saving up to become his neighbour. His wife took a picture of me using her iPhone and said “I want to make my grandchildren jealous. Here’s the proof that I met you”. And I was staring at her phone. More pictures HERE.

On The Wangsa Walk Celebrity Fitness Launch & How Hot @DaphneIking Is

Published by Imran Ajmain under Endorsements, Places, people

I was invited to Celebrity Fitness’ Launch of a new outlet at Wangsa Walk. The place felt like LA a bit, but the weather wasn’t good to be wearing what I was. I got to see performances from Dina, MC Zord, a banghra group, and Alam (So You Think You Can Dance’. Most of all, I got to meet Daphne for the first time (pictured above). Smitten! And for those of you haven’t seen me in person; she’s not short, that’s how tall I am. More pictures from the event HERE.

PS. Now.. what am I going to do with my gym membership?

On Re-discovering Singapore!

Published by Imran Ajmain under Places, Travel

IMG_5645

Recently, thanks to Singapore Tourism Board, I became a ‘tourist’. I took a tour with some reporters and folks from Malaysia and we had a great time, visiting museums, taking rides after rides, shopping. As a regular Singaporean, I’ve never felt like I’ve had that much fun in 1 weekend before. If they have so much to offer to visitors, that means Singaporeans would have a greater time, rediscovering the island! Click the pic above to visit my Facebook page for more pics!

On Pigging Out at Marche, Damansara with InTrend Magazine

Published by Imran Ajmain under Places, people

The difference between the Malaysia one and the Singapore one (don’t know if it still exists) is that the one at Damansara is halal. Hee. Thanks to InTrend Magazine, we got to eat our hearts out at Marche for their food section write-up by Nurul Huda. But our stomachs, thankfully, has its limits. My favourite would be the rosti with salmon!
