They sell newspapers for $1 using vending machines, they usually sell out by noon. I got the last paper, and beneath that, it says “You may take the paper on display” It won’t work in Singapore because you might take more than 1 paper. Would you? They got the LA Times, and USA Today.

The scratch & win lottery tickets are sold at the counter of this Korean-owned cafe. You can win a million bux or maybe 200 bux.

The Pacific Theatres, at Americana, Glendale has 18 screens, and it costs $11.75 per ticket. It costs less than $10 for matinee shows (before 4pm) and R-21 means you must be accompanied by an adult if you’re under 21. You can still enter and watch it.
