On Acting in Astro’s Telemovie ‘Siti Tivi’

Published by Imran Ajmain under Television

Ok I was playing myself so it doesn’t count as acting. I will tell you when and where it airs so stay tuned. And I learnt what “K.B.” means on a set. An actor will ask the other actor in crucial times, under bright hot spotlights, like this, “Eh aku K.B. tak?” Two actors were speaking to each other and I totally figured it out!!! The other person says “Tak nampak lah!” (Ketiak basah!)

This was shot at Kota Damansara at the same house where Spa Q shot. Faliq, Hyrul and I got a bit lost finding the place. We were up really late the night before at the studio where Hyrul and I wanted to finish up what we could so that he didn’t have to go again on Wednesday and that he’d accompany me to the shoot. They had clean well-fed cats all over the place, so Hyrul couldn’t resist, and was layaning them the entire time.

Thanks to Astro, Nazrin Khairunan and his staff/crew for having me on this. Special shout-out to Dian P.Ramlee and Nizam Zakaria! Ashmie from Singapore also appears on this telemovie.

Published by Imran Ajmain under Memories

If you’re on my Facebook account, do you remember this?

Thanks to the amount of people who responded to my post: http://imranajmain.com/2009/04/on-quitting-smoking-for-good/ via email, Facebook and such, something good happened to me. It’s simple but it means alot to me because since I was 17, I’ve always wanted it. I quit smoking and somebody rewarded me with it. Guess what it is? I’ll tell you on Monday.

On Celebrating My 28th Birthday Very Quietly

Published by Imran Ajmain under Memories

There were two cakes. One shared, one all to myself. I used to look forward to birthday gatherings and dinners, and endless chalets and resort get-aways. This year, I wanted it to go by really quickly. I guess I’ve become too old for that. Thanks anyway for all the well-wishes, even if it crossed your mind, but you didn’t do it. It crossed my mind, but I didn’t do it. So happy birthday to you too.

On Visiting PetroSains at KLCC

Published by Imran Ajmain under Travel

We had a blast at KLCC’s PetroSains when Wan & Zee came over to KL last week. RM30 each, and there was a helicopter simulator (that wasn’t much) but most of the hands-on experiments were damn fun. If you go to KLCC for a shopping spree, visit the PetroSains on the top floor, whether you have kids or not and/or also the Petronas Art Museum. It was so cool! Here are more pics of our Out & Abouts in KL last week. Oh ya, and the Museum is free admission.

Published by Imran Ajmain under Places, Travel, people

They had a photobooth, afterwhich they’d send the pictures straight to our emails. How cool is that. DinoTrek is part of PetroSains, on the top floor of Suria KLCC.

On Having Guests Over in KL

Published by Imran Ajmain under Artistes, Places, Travel, people

Roze came to record her singles “Harum” (I.Ajmain/Alif Abdullah/Shah Shamshiri) and also “Tamak” (I.Ajmain/Fazli Nasser) and Hyrul came to start on his album. He recorded “Cemburu” (I.Ajmain/Firas Fadly) and also went through a few more songs with Rafik and I.

Sazrin and I just had to bring every Singaporean who comes to KL to have satay. It’s just different, tastes so good. We ate a whole lot of chicken during their stay, checked out Danau Kota, a pasar malam heaven, and watched movies after movies. “Jangan Tegur” was pretty bad. Anybody watched it and also thought that the ghost of the grandmother during the beginning of the movie had NOTHING to do with the rest of the movie and its twists and turns? “Nenek dia wasted my time!”

And I introduced Roze to the ridiculous train system. For 20 minutes, the announcement lied to us 4 times saying that the train will arrive in 4 minutes time.  It didn’t!! Why do we have to get out of the train, and get in line to buy new tickets to another train line to get off 1 stop away? Why?

We also recorded reality tv styled travel program, I’ll edit it and put it up soon! Hyrul also blogged about the trip, you may read it by clicking this link.

ps: I’m accepting Malay compositions for Singaporean artistes. Send melodies/demos to aku@imranajmain.com
