I’m back.
My new hair gel smells like Sydney. It was exactly a year ago that I was there, so fast. How I miss the waffles. We spoke about how we want to go there again but you know its all just talk. KL seems warmer though, no need to think too much about where am I going to stay, what am I going to do. Definitely, its cheaper. Everybody’s going to KL anyway. Even Zouk. So all the Singaporeans who go there can now create a Zion Road too. Lepak. KL; Where it all began. The lepak-ing I mean.
It was a blast that so many Singaporeans were there last weekend. I had a performance at Bar Blonde for TTC’s Fifth Birthday Bash in conjunction with KLUE Magazine’s Anniversary as well. Though most of them were there on a weekendtrip on an unrelated issue, they came for the show to see me in all new garb, and we managed to go for kerabu mangga and some drum&bass together. Banyak lah Singaporeans. I got myself a Countdown show. I’m doing the Dataran Merdaka show 31st October, I hope Ning will be there.
The show was great. Teh Tarik Crew promoted their new album with a live back-up band coolly named Groove Jahat (Naughty Groove). They were so tight. I did the back-ups for all the songs ala Jaguar Wright for Jay-Z’s Unplugged and I had my own set too. I did Jeritan Batinku on impulse with the jazz pianist, Justin, who mysteriously looks like the dude from Innuendo. I was on top of the world by half-time though the sound system might not have had its best day.
Ramadhan coming soon. Ah buka puasa lah di KL. Jangan lupa!
