On Why People Are The Way They Are

Published by Imran Ajmain under people

If I am allowed to meddle with the idea of reincarnation, I’d theorize that we bring forward with us character, personality traits, mindset, mentality and vague scraps of ideas and ambitions into our next life. That is a probable explanation, second to social upbringing, as to why people are the way they are, the way they choose to be, in jobs that they want to pursue, so on and so forth. That’s why we are the way we are, and that’s how we’ll be in our next lives. That’s so sad. So thank goodness reincarnation is not true. At leas I don’t think it is.

Bruce and Shaz is God outside the office

It is officially the month of the Malay Language. Bulan Bahasa. They actually have councils for this. I heard Bishan CC is doing some event and that there is also a book fest at the Youthpark. Do you know “Melayu” means “to run” in Sanskrit? So Malaya, originally the land of the Malays, was also known as Tanah Pelarian or Land of the People Who Ran (immigrants/refugees).

I’m sure you’ve heard of the folktale about the defiant son, Si Tanggang and there is also an Indonesian version of it called Malin Kundang. Let me clear up some thing for you. The tale is about Malin Kundang Sitanggang. Yes, one word. Sitanggang is a Batak family name like Hutagalung, Siregar, and Samosir. It’s not Si Tanggang, as ‘Him The Tanggang’. That’s wrong. So it’s not two different stories ya? It’s the same one, told differently. He was turned to stone when he disregarded his mother after he became the Captain of his ship and married a Princess. Take mental notes. Might be useful for you arrogant people out there.

I suspect that Temenggong is onto 4D these days. If only I could casually tell him about my paranormal relationship with numbers, then probably we might hit a jackpot, for the sake of all of us, be it morally correct or not. We need it and everybody knows this.

The poor child was beaten to a pulp in school yesterday and I had quickly went to pick him up when he said that his folks couldn’t be bothered. Well, they didn’t know how serious it was and they didn’t even bother to find out. I missed work, only in my first week just so I could go out there and be the best Teresa I can. The hardest thing to swallow is that he had put up the strongest fight in his teen life in defense of my name. How do you top that? Now I’m indebted wholly to him and I’d have to sacrifice my lip and nose, opt for minor surgery and heavy swelling and still it wouldn’t suffice and live up to how much he had suffered for me. This can’t be happening. One week of pure drama. What would you do?

Do not make it seem that its always about you, especially when you’ve got nothing to do with it.

Oh my heavyheart and it’s drum machine beats so slow.

I picked up the drink to sip it, at the same time that I asked whether I could have some. It turns out to be not quite what I expected at 11am.

The Dutch is out by 1 goal! Apa ni? Macam tak habis match tu.

Wish me luck for tomorrow’s auditions at the Singapore Idol. 8.30am Room 301 Suntec Convention Hall Level 3.
