I wasn’t lying when I told you they had chickens on stage

The weather was scorching mad and the location was outdoors, open space. I was so jealous that we didn’t have such youth and tourist oriented events (other than Womad) back in Singapore where local musicians of all genres come together. There were outdoor theatrical skits, percussionists and drummers, live graffiti work, short film screenings, installation art pieces, rock bands, hiphop groups, more rock bands, even Burger Ramly was there. They gave out free pamphlets about Aids, and even one about the Malaysian government called ‘Obey-Lah’. Drinks were at RM4 though. That’s quite a robbery because it’s less than a ringgit at most places.
